How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Well, templates are like a "predrawn" book, where users don't have to recreate the entire thing (Which then would cause a mess trying to consolidate the data), which saves time, and makes the work look more professional.

It's just an aid for the users to enter some data and for you (IF you need to) if you need to consolidate it.
