saving a xls file as a htm file automatically ?

opening an xls file, I want to save automatically as a htm file ... I changed under "tools-options - transition" to save excel files as "web pages" but it doesn't save the running xls file as a htm file. Can someone help?
 

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
