I have a large table and have made a pivot table to create a report of some things.

The report states what kind of food ppl eat.

So it says fish
Then i can expand fish and see who is included in that section.

But here i see only the first name column and then the last name column is under the first name....

i want the full name to displayed... co both column a and b
(column a = first name, column b = last name, column c = what food they eat)

i want to see first name and last name together in the report.
is there a way to create this in a pivot table?

Hi,

I believe it would be easier if you concatenate both fields directly in the database, such that the full name would appear directly as a field for the pivot table.

I would create a new column in your data using the formula =A2&" "&B2. This will result in "FirstName LastName" and then you can use that in the pivot table.

i was afraid of that...

but since i have userforms to create new rows in that table i was hoping to to involve any type of formulas in there and avoid making this to complicated.

but if that is the only solution i guess ill have to.

I've never tried by myself but, click the pivot to open the pivot table tabs, and then search calculated field.

I believe you can do the same we told above that way.

Can not get this to work atall.

It feels so strange that i cant group/combine two fields.

I have firstname in one column and last name in another.

I want to create Pivot reports where i see the full name, not just the first name or the last name.
I might also want to add a third one... the employee ID then first name and then last name.
