I would like to be able to filter the attached numbers differently than what the numbers filter offers. I would like to be able to sort a group of numbers like in 3's or 4's. Is this possible? Not to complicate things it would be nice to be able to find an exact match. I have added a column F and notes under I and J. I have tried and tried several things but can not seem to find something that works. I appreciate any incite you may have I also have posted this question on another forum (Can I filter this differently? ) Not to complicate things it would be nice to be able to find an exact match. I have added a column F and notes under I and J

Here is the link to the file:

Thank you all!!!!

ok we can see how the data looks - now post what you want it to look like - some rows have one number - some have 2 - do you want for example all the 10 8
rows to be together eg
10 8
10 8
10 8

correct BUT, I want to also find all the
8
10
42

that are throughout the rows. The 8 is on say row 1, the 10 row 2, the 4 and 2 on row 3. Then sometimes it will look like this
12
2
8
10

In which row 1 has say the 12 and 2, row 2 the 8, nothing in row 3 and row 4 the 10

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
I still haven't the faintest idea what you want, eg do you want every different 4 row pattern?

I am trying to find ALL of the SAME groups of numbers that I have in the example below. I do not know how else to explain it. This is EXACTLY how my spreadsheet looks:

1
2
4
TXOB
2
4
4
TXOB
3
6
SVT
4
6
2
YOL
5
10
SVT
6
22
SVT
7
10
TOB
8
8
TOB
9
8
SVT
10
2
SVT

Now, lets say I want to find in my spreadsheet all the GROUP of numbers EXACTLY how they appear above. I want to be able to see ALL rows that have the same information as in rows 6-9 above. I need to go back to say row numbers 6-9 and look at ALL the rows that have the 22,10,8,8 in them. I really do not know how else to explain this. The info in the 4th column (SVT,TOB,YOL) are very important because that tells me which book to find my pattern so I can go back and look at them for an EXACT match. Right now I can do a simple filter and find them but it is very time consuming and will be more time consuming as I add rows of information

This looks like it may work :) How Exactly do I program this or is it simple enough for you to attach and all I have to do is fill in the numbers and titles? :)

this is the formula in D2 (the first zero in the helper column)
