Combine Data Table with X-axis

In Excel2007, I have found that some of the data tables in new charts are combined with the labels on the primary (lower) horizontal axis. On others, there are both labels on the axis and on the data table. How can I consistently create graphs where the axis labels are shared with the data table?
Thanks!

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
If I understand your question correctly there is a checkbox hidden in the graph properties that turns this multiple layer thing on/off - I dont have 2007 or 2010 at home though to give you a proper description of where to find it though. I assume that it gets set automatically by the format of your data but isnt 100% reliable.
