Hi all,

I have a cover sheet where I want to summarise the count of "0s" from a column in another sheet based on the current date (current date is on the cover sheet as "=today()"). But I want the value being retrieved to change when the current date changes, so the count of "0s" is always for the current date.

I can do this with the IF function, but it will take very long and isn't efficient. I'm sure there is an easier way, can someone help?

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Excel Formula:
=TODAY()
is dynamic and will ALWAYS return the current date.
So it will already change when the date changes.

Cross-posting (posting the same question in more than one forum) is not against our rules, but the method of doing so is covered by #13 of the Forum Rules.

Be sure to follow & read the link at the end of the rule too!

There is no need to repeat the link(s) provided above but if you have posted the question at other places, please provide links to those as well.

If you do cross-post in the future and also provide links, then there shouldn’t be a problem.
