Excel Data Validation List in Macbook not working?

I have an excel model built in windows with data validation lists/dropdowns. The file is locked with a password.

MacBook users can’t see anything in the dropdown? If the file is unlocked the dropdowns work but not when locked?

Any help, please?

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
