Hi,

I developed an add in and just wondered where the best place in forum
may be to announce it.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Hi,

I have developed an add in for Microsoft Excel, which retrieves
data from arbitrary sources and creates worksheets accordingly.

Currently only Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and CSV are
supported, but ODBC, XML, HTML will be incorporated in the next
releases.

The advantage of the data retrieval via the add in is that the
link information to the sources is not stored in the workbook
that retrieves the data, that updating a multitude of sources
is carried out with one key stroke (which makes monthly reporting
quite a no-brainer) and that protection can be easily toggled
(will be refined in future versions). The data is automatically
formatted and assigned with name definitions in order to allow
flexible calculations. Power users may also appreciate that the
SQL for retrieval is editable and that all configuration is kept
in a single workbook.

This is the initial release; any kind of feedback is highly
appreciated and the add in and its documentation will be updated
accordingly.

For all further information please visit the add in page.

Cheers
Vince
