This is an interesting question and I have not been able to find a solid answer which fits the methodology that I am using. All expert help is appreciated in solving this stubborn problem.
I can open an Excel sheet from the command line and feed it parameters with a command similar to Excel "G:\G-All-2007-Wi-Plt\EER_Folders\paramtest.xls" /e/param1/param2 and then break the command line into the specific parameters. I need to feed the same command from a hyperlink.navigateurl property within my VB.Net (net2.0) web page. The navigateurl property performs an ENCODE on te string and converts all spaces to %20. This works fine for anything handled by HTML but I need to feed a space in order for Excel to interpret the parameters correctly.
I have tried to make Excel utilize ? and & but it will not seem to work. Any suggestions as to how I can feed the command line into IE or the navigateurl property and open Excel with passed parameters?
