Hello All,
This is Kody, aka Sp3cial K. I have recently joined MRExcel in hopes to find methods to creating passages through excel to better my thoughts that run through my head. Some may think I'm crazy, but I truly believe that with the thoughts of others and myself, that a simple game can be cracked, leading us all to making a lot of money.

As I look at life, I know, just as any other smart person knows, life revolves around numeric patterns. And what I have seen by joining this site is that there are a lot of smart people out there. So, What I have decided to do is to write this as an invite to those interested. The game I play is Keno, it can be found in most states that carry lotto, not just at casinos. Keno is a numbers game where you pick 1-10 numbers of 80. There are 20 numbers drawn and if your numbers match, then you win depending on what sequence of numbers you choose.

Now, I have played every sequence there is. Here in Missouri, The winnings are as follows:

What I have found is your best chances to win, are simply picking two numbers. If two out of 20 numbers hit, you win 10/1 odds. So, what I am trying to find, is a formula in excel that we can use, to configure the next drawings to show us at least 2 numbers that will come in. This sounds easy I'm sure, I've been racking my brain trying different methods, count, sum, and even predict (which has slipped my mind of the formula name, but you take certain numbers in a row and it tells you what the next number should be) Anyway, Billions of people play the lottery, everyone is looking for that edge to make more money aside from their real-life job. I am looking for others interested in trying to devise a pattern or formula in excel that we can figure out the next drawing up to three drawings ahead. If interested, reply to this post, share the post and maybe with more minds then 1, we can find a solution.

@xenou

I have not in any said I have cracked any code YET. I simply said I have written some code that has allowed me to win several times. I myself am not convince I have cracked any code YET but I feel I will. What I do know is I get at least 3'/6 to 4/6 balls correct 90% of the time when I play. I find it hard to believe it is total randomness when I can do this on a continuous basis. I spend very little time doing anyting else besides studying the numbers and developing new tools to help me. I am finding interesting FACTS all the time. I do not want to confuse anyone. Once again, I have NOT cracked anything YET

Hmmm, so basically we know nothing about what anyone else is spending (neither Ginther nor those New Hampshire guys), but you say *you've* cracked the code and earn huge returns on your investment.

I'm afraid I'm not convinced by your story. You may be confusing pure luck (which, after all, does provide some people with million dollar jackpots) and so-called cracking the code. It would be necessary to actually see your bets and your results and compare them to expected values, and/or to the population at large playing the same game. What happens again and again is that we don't get anyone capable making those calculations because they don't understand how to evaluate probabilistic trials. In short, you've got an amazing claim but where are the hard facts?

Re: Random hmmmm

I'm skeptical, true. But any system that would give you a clear advantage is all I mean by the term -- is there a better way to put it? From your description it sounded to me that you had done that. I will admit I am a little more open to the idea that there are errors in how some of these games are run, which could in theory be exploited - that doesn't change what anyone has said about random number theory in this thread. From such a perspective what you are doing is not about predicting random numbers but rather about finding flaws in the system.

the reason they swap the tops of the roulette wheels amongst the machines is to prevent slight wear on the axle introducing bias - I said before in the UK there are 2 machines and 12 sets of balls - machine and ball set is chosen by a randomly selected member of the public.

I studied cryptography for a few hours once, until it gave me a headache. But I did gleam that there have been numerous pseudorandom number generators that have been proven, over time, to be non-random.

Like has already been said, I admire folks like the OP who think they see an inconsistency, study it, and emerge either knowing that they've debunked yet another pseudorandom number generator or proven to themselves that it is indeed "sufficiently" random.

Keep at it. Without people challenging the status quo, we'd all still be using WEP on our wifi.

This is true by the "large of large numbers". But it is only true over time with many draws in a fair game. It says nothing about the next draw. Somewhat like oldbrewers previous post, it is not practical in a game of chance to be able to play the large number of games required to see predicted values materialize in real life - and in any case, if you did, you'd find the "state" or the "casino" would have the edge in total dollars paid in vs. paid out.

Out of interest I took a look at the regularity of numbers drawn in the UK National lottery which is 6 out of 49 available numbers. Its been going since 1994 and there is considerable disparity. Seven numbers have each been drawn a total of 1758 times,
but 13 has only been drawn 203 times according to a press report at the end of 2012. Now thats spooky!
