i have referenced in sheet 1 cell d37 a number in cell f4 of the sheet survey 1. i would like to copy and paste that reference from survey 1 down 15 cells on sheet 1 while changing the reference from survey 1 by only 1 cell

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.

Assuming this is a VBA question, this single line of code should do what you asked...
Code:
Sheets("Sheet1").Range("D31").Copy Sheets("Sheet1").Range("D31").Resize(15)

Assuming that 1 cell is 1 cell down ('F5', 'F6', ...) and you're copying the formula from Sheet1 'D37' and pasting it to Sheet1 'D52', 'D67', ... and so on, maybe this formula could work
Code:
=INDEX(survey1!F:F,INT((ROWS(A$1:A1)-1)/15)+4)

that did not work. I got a #ref!. you understand what i need exactly

Try checking the spelling of the sheet name. Maybe there's a space in it that I have not considered like 'survey 1'.
