What is wrong with this site?

Spammers

How can the spammers automatically inject into the forum multiple spam emails, yet reporting spam requires a cooling off period between each report. Its horrendous this morning, i can only get six pages deep and found one genuine question.
Occasional CAPTURE verification on the second quick post would help massively.
I noted that most messages seem to have been read by at least three people, it would be interesting to see if they were the same three (beyond OCD) I can't forsee any person reading all the spam messages when they all look the same

Yes, there's definitely something amiss there... Some of these spammers have been allowed to post ~ 200 times under the same user ID with no action taken, plus they're using multiple IDs...

They may have been viewed by others who might have reported them too, or maybe they've been accessed by web-bots.

its being systematically spammed, and no obvious admin online to moderate off the content

We're on it, but it's a lot to deal with at the moment.

It should be cleaned up shortly.

Spammers!!
....swings and roundabouts… the price of fame and accessibility I guess.
. I have been having a go over at Excel Forum recently… They do not get spammers ( ever I think ? ), but have so many other issues with their software recently, including OP’s not getting notified of replies, and important members being locked out ( due to their software “protecting “ from what it sees as potential dodgy sites ) , that the Forum’s popularity seems to be fading….

Thanks for reporting everything you did!

We've gotten rid of the mass Koren/Chinese spammers, but I'm still going after some of the little "more normal" stuff.
