I know how to right click on a cell and then click INSERT COMMENT.

Does anyone know if it is possible to insert a jpg in to that comment window? This will be perfect for my product presentation.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Hello DraftThe3Car,

No, it is not possible to insert a picture into a Comment object in Excel. However, it IS possible to have a picture pop up in a prescribed relationship to a comment when a cell is selected and the comment appears. It could thus be made to appear that the picture is attached to the comment. I could probably be persuaded to provide the code for this if you are interested.

Juan Pablo,

I wasn't aware of the capability to put a background image in a Shape object. I've searched the helps but can't find any Shape properties named "Background...", etc. I know that worksheets now have a background picture capability--I'm wondering if you were thinking of this, or perhaps the Shape which is of type msoPicture? Or perhaps it is a new capability in Excel XP? At any rate, can you shed some more light on this?

Best regards.

Sure Damon, (Glad to do it too!)

Here at work I have 2000, so, able to do it in here too. Select the comment, go to the Fill button, select Fill Effects, and go to the last tab, "Image", in there you can select an image to use as the background of that. Comments are just an ordinary Shape (Type 4 if I remember right, msoComment)

That simple ! very cool thing too !

Ok, ok, everyone is getting all this but.....me!

1) I inserted a comment.
2) I r-clicked on the comment and...
3) Selected Format Comment

...after that, the ONLY window I get reads FONT. I'm not seeing all the stuff you fella's are.

Can you kindly be a bit more descriptive for us rookies?

Thanks in advance.
