I have 2 spreadsheets...
1 contains Numbers (in column A) and a city name (in column B).

The 2nd spreadsheet contains many columns, however 1 of them contains the "numbers from spreadsheet 1.

I would like to perform some sort of function to have Spreadsheet 2 lookup the "numbers" in spreadsheet 1 and return the city name.

How do I do this ???

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
inthe second spreadsheet try with:
vlookup(number,range, column indicator,false )
number: the number of the city
RAnge: the range in the spreadsheet 1
column : the distance between the number and the name of the city,
(is the range have only 2 col then is 2)
Good luck
