2007 excel vba

Good afternoon,
My macro is reading a text file and creating a new excel sheet. The one problem is with column "D". The text file for this column contains 16 characters (numbers) and the resulting column appears in scientific notation format. i.e. <TABLE style="WIDTH: 48pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=64><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 48pt" width=64><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 48pt; HEIGHT: 15pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" height=20 width=64 align=right>

Format the column As Numbers

I'm very new to vba. How would that look in code?

I meant formatting the column in the new excel sheet as Numbers manually.
(Right-clicking > Format Cells)

but if you really want VBA, you can look into Format function of VBA.
Something like

Range("A1").Value = Format(Range("A1").Value, "#####################")

I tried it and I get "False" in that cell

In other words it didn't work
