hi there.

I am needing help with a function to count the last group of cells used in a range.

eg: on (row1) col (a:b)has data in them and col(c) is blank, and col (d:g) has data, so the answer would be 4. I hope this makes sense

Allan

Ps This may have come through twice as i lost my concection ,Sorry

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Assuming your data is within A1:Z1 try

=1/LOOKUP(2,1/FREQUENCY(IF(A1:Z1<>"",COLUMN(A1:Z1)),IF(A1:Z1="",COLUMN(A1:Z1))))/1

confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER
