Hi,

In Excel, I can add a trendline for a data set for several different types of regression fits to the data set. (linear, exponential, polynomial, etc.) However, Excel does not allow the selection of the number of data points over which the regression is calculated. On a chart, if you select a data series, the added trendline is added to the chart for the entire series on the chart.

Does anyone know a way to create a 2nd order trendline that locally regresses only the last 5 data points in a data series?

Thanks,

Art
