400 Error

Can somebody please enlighten me on why I am receiving a 400 error with this simple piece of code?

    Sheets("Sheet7").Select
    Range("D52").Select
    Selection.Copy
        Range("D78").Select
    Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks _
        :=False, Transpose:=False
    Application.CutCopyMode = False
        Range("A1").Select
End Sub

code runs fine on my machine. At which point when you step through does it fail?
Do you really need all those selects in there?? You can do the entire code in 1 or 2 lines.

Range("D52").Select

This is where it fail. D52 is not populated.

Shouldn't matter if populated or not. I take it that cell hasnt become locked somehow?
