I think this is a tough one,
Much appreciation to whoever can help me figure this one out,

Here is the format of the information I have

Name _____Begin Date________End Date_____$Amount
*
Bob1________2/01/08______1/31/09_______$2400
____________ 2/01/09______1/31/10_______$2650
____________ 2/01/10______1/31/11_______$2900
*
Jim3________5/01/07_______4/30/08_______$6000
____________5/01/08_______9/30/08_______$7200
*
*
*
and so on........ ( each name has between 1-7 steps on their schedule, not all the same )
I used the spaces and asteriks to format here,

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Re: A Tough One, MY QUESTION:

HERE IS MY NEED:

I need to produce a schedule that shows the $ amount for each name,
during a specific period,

So, I am thinking I am need to lookup each person's name, then based on that look at the periods that are in the cells to the right, then find the period that has my specific period needed in it, ( between begin & end date ) and then return the dollar amount for that period.

Name_____Month1_______Month2_________Month3
Bob_______$ Amount_____$Amount________$Amount
.
.
.
.
etc. etc.
( long list going down )

Your help an assistance is appreciated,
I can't stand the format I get these in,

Thanks,
