Hi,

I can't work out my Database is growing significantly on open....

It starts off as a 325kb file but when I close it and try re-opening the size is now 4mb, I use the db for an ASP site but my code for accessing the data seems fine, I close all connections before moving on throughout the app....

I hope someone might have some ideas..

Regards

Kevin

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
If you are regularly creating and deleting objects in your DB it will grow -- sometimes HUGE. You can get back to the original size by compacting it (Tools | Database Utilities | Compact and Repair Database). It's a good idea to compact on a regular basis -- reduces the potential for corruption.
