Access (not MS Access) logs

Mornin everyone.

Right now I have my workbooks set to capture user information on workbook open via environs and output it to a text file using the next available line. (Excel opens the log.txt, find the first unused line and pastes in the environ information)

Is there a way to do this so that the information goes to an excel sheet instead of a notepad file?
