I have just been on an excel course to learn things like subtotals, pivot tables, vlookups, among other things. Of course the trainers had special types of workbook for us to practice on (ones with masses of data in the case of things like pivot table & subtotals, but also including things like monthly expenses etc).

Is there somewhere you can download practice excel workbooks such as these so you can practice at home? I imagine that some excel textbooks must come with CDs that have such matrial on them, so any directions you could point me in would be helpful. Free downloads especially useful if possible.

Many thanks.

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Have you tried asking the trainers for a copy of their workbook(s)? Also, if the training was job related, why not ask some of the people you work with for some typical workbooks and practice on those?

I have contacted the trainers already and I am the only person dealing with Excel matters in my company, hence the post, but I will look into the files on the link VoG sent me.

Cheers
