ActiveSheet.Protect but only select unlocked cells?

I am using ActiveSheet.Protect

but it seems like each time i change it manually to select only unlocked cells that this forumla above keeps changing it back to

checkmark on unlocked cells
checkmark on locked cells.

how can i make it so it will only allow selecting of unlocked cells

and not revert back to the above?

After ActiveSheet.Protect, you can add: ActiveSheet.EnableSelection=xlUnlockedCells

I have the same issue only I want every option under protect sheet selected at the protect and close of the macro. Any advice?
