Add a sequence

Column F has many duplicates (the data is sorted by column F) that I would like to add a sequence to so I can use that in other formulas. For instance, if there are four instances of 12696301 in column F, In column G I would like to see 126963011, 126963012, 126963013 and 126963014. A coworker once showed me how to do this but she's out today and the column she used previously she has already converted to values. If it makes a difference - the column is formatted text because some of the part numbers begin with zero's we don't want to lose, and some of the part numbers contain letters as well.

You can use a formula like:

=A1&COUNTIF(A$1:A1,A1)

copied down.
