I would like to add a formula column at the end of the array formed using VSTACK that refers to a column in the array.

Is this possible?

I assume that, if it is possible, that the same method can be used when using the FILTER function.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
If you want to add another column you would need to use HSTACK, but to help further we would need to know exactly what you are looking to do.

I'm stacking three sets of two columns from a range and want to add a third column which contains the RAND() function and then sort by this column so that the data is in a random order.

Those that make sense?

Use randarray rather than rand & yes it's possible.
