Add Hours and Minutes

I need to add hours and minutes for a number of columns as shown:

Jan Feb March April May Total
2382:56 2158:58 1849:55 3383:32 1851:57

The result should be 11627:18

How can I add them up.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Format as [h]:mm

The formula doesn't work. The result comes up as 0

Are those actual times or are they text?

I received it as a text file. Then I opened in excel & chose the option delimited comma delimiter.
