I would like to add a slider/knob in a particular cell, with a range from 0 to 14 with increments of 0.1.
How do i go about doing this. I am using excel 2007

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.

Developer Tab > Insert Active X scroll bar

Draw it wherever you like.

RIght click it, choose Properties.

Set Min to 0, Max to 140, Small Change to 1 and Large Change to 1

Link it to a cell, e.g. A1 (not your ultimate destination cell)

Developer Tab > click out of Design Mode

In your ultimate destination cell, enter =A1/10

I need the incremental changes to be 0.1. I does not allow me to do this, it only allows whole number changes.I cannot link it to the cell. I think this requires a code in the vb editor to work aswell.

That's why I said set the Small and Large Change to 1.

Link it to a cell which is NOT the cell you want to change.

Then in the cell you want to change, enter =A1/10, where A1 is the cell to which the scroll bar is linked.

To link the scroll bar to A1, just type A1 in the Linked Cell field of the Properties box.

No VBA required.
