Adding a day counter

I'm using Excel 2003 and I would like to add a timer or a conditional format to count the number of days since a date was put in a cell.

e.g. If I put a date in A1, I would like B1 to state the number of days since it was put in. Is there a formula I can use in conditional formatting to achieve this?

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Click in B1, press CTRL + 1, click on Number, change decimal places to 0, click OK.

Hmmm, I have 11/04/2011 in J5. K5 has a conditional format =TODAY()-J5. And cell k5 format is number to 0 decimal places. But I dont get anything displayed. Any ideas?

That is a formula not a conditional format and it works for me

Excel Workbook
JK
511/04/201117

At the moment I have J5 conditionally formatted to turn Red when I5 has the word 'Complete' in it. I would like J5 to turn Green when data is added to it. Is this possible?
