Anyone have a nice, tight, VBA routine to ask for a folder name and add it? Could also take the folder name from a cell.

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
I guess you would have to define nice and tight. :) Though, it might be faster and less controversial to look up MkDir in XL VBA help.

Thanks for your response... I went with the following:

Sub createfolder()

Dim MyDir As String
MyDir = [B1] & "\" & [b2]
On Error GoTo Exists

MkDir MyDir
Exit Sub
Exists: MsgBox "Already exists...change B2", vbExclamation

End Sub

B1 is the path to the folder, B2 is the new one
