Good Morning all,

I have a spreadsheet that is password protected - the only thing I have checked is:

Select Locked Cells
Select Unlocked Cells
Edit Objects

I have edit objects checked because I need to use the "Insert Comments" option. Is there any way to keep the "Insert Comments" option but make sure that the user can not use the Copy/Paste Function?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney

Having the "edit objects" checked doesn't interfere with Copy/Paste Function being disabled when the sheet is protected.

Regards.

Hi,

to disable copypaste within Excel you can use a sheet-event
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
Application.CutCopyMode = False
End Sub
this needs macros to be enabled of course
pasting data from external sources will still be possible

kind regards,
Erik
