Adding liters column related to laps column

The issue I have is, I am trying to relate a cell to where I put a start lap and end lap and it will add the liters together in that range of laps. Right now I have it to where it will add the start lap and end lap so now I just need it to add the laps inbetween them.

Column A is the laps; Column C is the liters of fuel; Cell L4 and L6 are the start and end laps.

=SUMIF(A1:A10,">="&L4,C1:C10)-SUMIF(A1:A10,">"&L6,C1:C10)

I think that will do, thank you so much. I am still trying to learn these different codes and what will work and how it will work.
