Adding markers or icons to my Chart

Ok so I am tracking pest control activity looking at counts for moths in the air over time by month. So A2:A15 = month as in January to December and B2:B15 = Moth count January to December.

Instead of a data point , I want to use a graphic of a Mediterranean flour moth

Can this be done in Excel?

Hi,

I think the trick is to import the picture as an image file (e.g. a .jpg) into Excel. Then copy the picture to the clipboard. Now select one of the markers on the chart so that the whole series becomes selected. Then hit Ctrl + V to insert the clipboard contents into the existing marker loations.

By the way, you might want to change the images white background to transparent before you do that. Either find an existing image with a transparent background or use an image editing program to add transparency to the image.
