=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(@$H$3:$H$693, 'Pay (2)'!$D$2:$P$398,10,0),"")+IFERROR(VLOOKUP(@$H$3:$H$693, 'Pay (2)'!$D$2:$P$398,8,0),"")

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
If one or both parts returns "" you can't add it to anything, so you'd get an error.

If you're trying to add numbers, your IFERROR should return 0, not "", for errors.
