I have a database table in the range ... A1:E30, obviously with headings in row 1 of that range.
I have a copy of the headings in the range .. H1:L1.
In using the advanced filter, I have set my List Range as A1:E30 and my Criteria Range as H1:L2
If I have the name 'Smith' entered in cell H2 and run the advanced filter, it works correctly and concertinas the database table so only the rows relevant to 'Smith' will be displayed.
However, if I change the name in cell H2 to a different name that exists in the database, the Database Table does not reconcertina itself to reveal only the relevant rows for that new name.
I know I can make it repeat the process by adding a macro to a button and press it when I need to reset the database, but surely I shouldn't have to do that.
Is the advanced filter function a one-use only function ? Is there something I've missed ?
Ta in advance,
Chris
