Aggregating data

Hi,

I have a list of unpaid invoices and companies names. Some companies have mutiple invoices outstanging rather than show each invoice I want to show a single total for each company.

Currenltly I have

Column A Column B

Company A £100
Company A £150
Company B £200
Company C £100
Company C £100
Company C £100

I would prefer

Column A Column B

Company A £150
Company B £100
Company C £300

I don't quite see the logic behind this, why does A get a value of 150, and B get a value of 100?

Apologies, my adding up was incorrect. Company B should be £200
Company A £250

Try using a Pivot Table. They are fantastic for summarizing data such as this. Be sure to put Column A as a "Row Field", and use Column B as a "Data Field".
