Alert message needed

Morning,

I need an alert message to pop up and say "Payment exceeds balance, please revise payment amount" when an automatically populated cell (H1) falls below £0.

I assume it'll be based on a VBA Change event, but can't fathom out what I need to do.

H1 is the sum of Balance minus Payment and so is automatically populated.

Best regards

How is H1 automatically populated, via formula or code?

Try this: right click the sheet tab, select View Code and paste in

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Calculate()
If Range("H1").Value < 0 Then MsgBox "Payment exceeds balance, please revise payment amount", vbExclamation
End Sub
