Alphabetically insert into list

Hello all

I have a list that is ordered alphabetically.
I'm making a macro that will add to this list.
is it possible to insert the new entry alphabetically.

I was thinking that it may be possible to find the corresponding integer
value( ie A = 1) for a letter but i haven't been able to find anything. Does this exist in excel or am i going to have to hard code it?

You could use the ACCII value:

MsgBox Asc("A")
