I'm trying to build a file name, based upon a value in another sheet, in VBA.

Windows("FT_" & Current!B2 & ".xlsx").Activate

Current is a valid sheet name and cell B2 does contain valid data

To test, I tried:
wb = Current!B2
msgbox(wb)

I get the same error, run time error 424, either way.

What am I missing??

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Hi and welcome to MrExcel

Try:
VBA Code:
Sub test()
  Dim wb As Variant
  wb = Range("Current!B2")
  MsgBox (wb)
End Sub
