Analysis With Data Dated Before 1/1/1900

Hello,

I am having a problem working with a large data set in Excel 2010. This data includes daily investment prices going back to the 1800's. The issue is that Excel does not recognize the dates past what seems like 1/1/1900.

Is there any way to override this? Is there some kind of an add in that would allow me to analyze this entire time series in Excel 2010?
