I have two data sets. Let's call these
Name and Position
I have 3 names and 2 positions (slot 1 and 2)
so just for example:
Bob
Mary
John
I know how to calculate how many permutations there are if ORDER does not matter. But it does matter in this case. for example, if Bob and Mary are a potential slot 1 and 2, I also need to show that Mary and Bob are a combination for slot 1 and 2.
How can I show the actual output of the potential combinations of these two variables (as in showing every possible combo of the names within those two slots where ordering matters. I'm envisioning a grid that just shows all combos of these names for slot 1 and 2 including changes in ordering (e.g. Bob and Mary are one combo, but Mary and Bob are another).
any help out there?
