I hope my posts are getting alittle better,

I have days of the year in A1:A365
I have daily sales numbers in B1:B365

what formula would i use to sum up all the daily numbers (B1:B365) to achieve the monthly totals thoughout the year.

C1 = Novembers total
C2 = Decembers total
and so on!!

Thanks for your help again.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.

For November's total (array entered):
=SUM(IF(MONTH(A1:A365)=11,B1:B365,0))

Change the 11 to 12 for December. Hope that helps!

You mean for the month it is right now? Once again, array enter:

=SUM(IF(MONTH(A1:A365)=MONTH(TODAY()),B1:B365,0))
