Hi Guys,

I'm trying to work out how to log what league position a team is in after each game. i.e

game1 Game2 Game3
Pos. 1 5 4

I know that if I use Vlookup, it will return the same position after every game;)

My knowledge of excel is a bit limited so if someone could explain how I do it, that would be great

Cheers guys

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
OK, Let me try and explain in a bit more detail.

I will Arsenal just as an example.

Ok, lets say after I have sorted the league table after game 1 and Arsenal's position in the league is 3rd, then after the second game their position is 1st, after game 3 their position is 2nd

what I'm looking to do is record Arsenal's league positions after each game they playe.

Hope this helps
