When we select a cell, it is automatically bordered by a thick black line, and greyish background. Is there a way to change the color of this border or is it hard coded in the application. Just a real dumb question from a colleague.... that i would like to provide an answer to.

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
As far as I know it is hard coded and cannot be changed.

It is possible to change the appearance of the active cell using a combination of Conditional Formatting and VBA event code.
