Is there a way to open the new file in a seperate window? Or will it always open in the current window amongst the other spreadsheets you have open.

Thanks,

Matt

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Code:
Sub test()
    Dim xlApp As Excel.Application
    Set xlApp = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
    xlApp.Visible = True
    xlApp.Workbooks.Open Filename:="C:\temp\test.xls"
End Sub
