Hi,

Need some help if this is possible?

I'm looking for help with an auto generator, where by I can highlight a list of names and these names will then be auto populated into column B under different headers. I have 5 different tasks that are done daily and each day the number of people required to fulfil those tasks can differ from day to day. So I would need someway for the user to enter a number of people required for each task and then the auto generator to populate those fields with the correct amount of people (From the list) required for it.

Can this be done?

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
what version of excel do you have? Please update your profile so the forum can give you a formula that is available in your excel version.
Also, posting some sample data and expectations would be very helpful.

Microsoft 365

Column A - Will be the different tasks required
Column B - Will be the auto generated names gathered from a list in column P

I need a way of being able to say/select a number of people I would like under each task
