Auto execute macro setup

I am new to VB and an looking to have a macro automatically execute when the file is opened. Can someone help??

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Under the ThisWorkbook item, you can.

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    MsgBox "test"
End Sub

This would pop up Test message box everytime the workbook was open.
