Auto Row Height

There are times when I select Text Wrap and Merge, but the row Auto Height only sees one row of text. Why?

Also, there are times when the auto row height will display all the text on the screen, but when printed (or in print preview) the bottom line or two is cut off. Why?

I only see this happen when I manually adjust the row height, so I guess it must have something to do with that. Can you tell what exactly you have to do to make it stop auto resizing?

More information.
It appears to be isolated to situations where both merge and wrap co-exist, that the auto row height is confused.

If merge is used as well as wrap you will only automatically see 1 row.

In that situation, I increase the font of a cell beyond the print range to make sure the wrapped lines always get printed.

It would be uesful if MS sorted this or is it a "design feature"?
