I have a column with data that is linked from another sheet and is totaled at the bottom. If I insert a row and type in a value, the total doesn't reflect what I added. I have to go to the cell with the total and bring up error checking and click "include omitted cells". Is there a way that this can be done automatic?

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
If you add rows directly at the total line, you will omit those new rows by default.
Here are a couple of workarounds
