I apologize in advance if this has already been answered. Is there a way to autofill a cell? I.E. If I type in a employee number(Say...C5) another cell(B5) will display their name?

Thank you in advance.

Hi - welcome to the board!

sounds like you need the vlookup() function - chack it out in the help file & search this board for examples. Post back with more info on what you're trying to do if you need...

I'm on lunch Paddy so I thought I'd do a simple one
Book1
ABCD
12323JoeGoalie
2EmpNoNamePosition
3
41331JohnSweepr
53131ChrisForward
62323JoeGoalie
74356KurtStriker
Sheet1

"List" is the named range of A4:C7
A1 is the lookup cell, where you enter unique data
2 and/or 3 is the column to return the info
And 0 or False meaning find an exact match
