Automatic/forced check-out for SharePoint links

Hi All,

I have a document with a list of links to other workbooks on SharePoint. Is it possible to get those workbooks to be automatically checked out when opened?

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
